Kickstart your wellness journey

Starting something new can feel exciting — and sometimes a little daunting. That’s why we’ve created Wellness Kickstart: a dedicated programme designed to help you settle in, feel confident and make the most of your membership from day one.

Over your first 30 days, you’ll enjoy three personalised sessions with one of our expert trainers. Together, you’ll build a clear, achievable plan to help you move, feel and live better — setting the tone for long-term success.

Session 1: Your personal consultation

Your first session is all about you.

You’ll meet with one of our expert Personal Trainers to talk about your lifestyle, understand what motivates you and set realistic, achievable goals. Together, you’ll create a personalised roadmap that sets you up for long-term success and helps you make the most of your membership.

Sessions 2 & 3: Your focus areas

After your initial consultation, your next two sessions will help you dive deeper into the areas that matter most to you. Choose from a range of focused topics designed to support every aspect of your wellbeing:

Sleep

Learn how to improve your sleep quality and restore your energy. We'll ask you to complete a week-long sleep diary beforehand so your trainer can tailor their advice. You can download a copy of the sleep diary here.

Nutrition & Weight Management

Get expert, personalised guidance to help you build healthy habits and achieve your goals. Your trainer will ask you to fill out a food diary in advance for a more in-depth discussion. You can download a copy of the food diary here.

Personal training and exercise

Step into the gym with confidence. Discover how to use our equipment effectively and design a training plan that fits your goals.

Stress management

Learn proven techniques to help you handle daily pressures, improve resilience and enhance your overall wellbeing.

Many of our Clubs also run group seminars on some of the key topics we explore in our Kickstart sessions.

These are free to join and a great way to learn alongside others, share experiences and find even more inspiration. You can book your place via the Classes section of the David Lloyd app.

Wellness Kickstart FAQs

How much does Kickstart cost?

Kickstart is a free programme available to all new members. It includes three complimentary sessions to help you get started. After completing these sessions, you can choose to begin a personal training subscription or book individual sessions as needed. All bookings can be made easily through the app.

How do I get started?

You can book your Kickstart sessions directly through the app. On the home page, you should see your Kickstart vouchers, simply click on these to book your first consultation.

After completing your initial consultation and identifying your goals, you’ll be able to schedule your remaining two sessions.

To get the most out of your Kickstart experience, take some time to think about what you want to achieve with your wellness and fitness journey. If you choose to book a sleep or nutrition session, please note that there is some preparatory “homework” to complete before your appointment. The relevant document for this can be downloaded from the links above.

How do I book?

You can book all of your Kickstart sessions through the app. Within the app, you’ll be able to choose the coach you’d like to work with and view their available times.

On the home page, you should see your Kickstart vouchers — simply click on these to book your first consultation.

After completing your initial consultation and identifying your goals, you can then schedule your remaining two sessions at times that suit you.

Can I cancel or change a session?

Yes, you can cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours in advance. If you do so, your Kickstart voucher will be returned to your account, allowing you to rebook at another time that suits you.

However, if you cancel or wish to change your booking within 24 hours of your session, this won’t be possible, and your voucher will not be returned.

Can I book more?

When you join David Lloyd Clubs, you’ll receive three complimentary Kickstart sessions to help you begin your fitness journey.

After you’ve used these sessions, you can choose to book single, one-off sessions with one of our coaches or start a regular commitment by setting up a personal training subscription.

Both single sessions and subscriptions can be easily booked and managed through the app.
