The brand-new David Lloyd Rugby Club officially opens it’s doors

David Lloyd Clubs, Europe’s leading health, sport and leisure group officially opens the doors to its brand-new Rugby club after a successful launch event with new members, community leaders and special appearance by England Rugby player, Anthony Watson.

The new Club brings local residents a brand new destination for the whole family including a state-of-the-art gym, indoor and outdoor pools, spa and spa garden, tennis and padel courts, group classes, DL Kids classes and activities, plus a Clubroom and Business area to ensure you have a space for the whole day, every day.

The highly anticipated launch event included a speech by General Manager Jack Phillips, menu tasters and guided tours of the state-of-the-art facilities. Attendees included Councilor Luke Russell, Houlton’s residents’ events team, and local treasure of the community, Vicar Steve Gold.

Change Please, partners of David Lloyd Clubs, were stationed outside offering their award-winning coffee to visitors, which is also available within the Club. Every cup of Change Please coffee sold goes towards people experiencing homelessness and offers them a living wage job, housing, training and employment opportunities.

New members were wowed by the Clubs indoor and outdoor pools and fully equipped Spa which features a Himalayan salt sauna, citrus steam room, finnish sauna, fire and ice room and a plunge pool.

Fitness lovers explored the large open plan gym and boutique group class studios which have been exclusively designed to host hundreds of group classes each week including the David Lloyd Clubs exclusive Signature Class collection such as the HIIT Blaze and IGN1TE, pilates based SPIRIT and cycling classes Cyclone and Rhythm. The extensive racquets options include an outdoor tennis bubble with the highest quality surface technology plus outdoor covered Padel courts: Europe's fastest growing sport.

The David Lloyd Clubs Rugby team were on hand to answer any questions and offer demonstrations throughout the day.
