David Lloyd Leisure: UK's biggest Padel provider

David Lloyd Clubs, Europe’s leading health and wellness group, continues with its roll out of padel courts making it the UK’s largest operator of padel and underlining its commitment to innovation in racquet sports.

David Lloyd Clubs currently operates 166 padel courts across 47 Clubs, including 32 UK locations and 16 across Europe. In response to the sport’s growing popularity, it plans to have over 220 courts, adding a further 19 Clubs to its padel programme by the end of this year, with over 100 Clubs operating padel when the rollout completes. The number of members playing padel has risen from 3,300 monthly players in April 2023 to over 18,100 in April 2025 and continue to grow at pace.

Padel – a dynamic blend of tennis and squash – is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, attracting a new generation of players with its accessibility, sociability, and fun gameplay. David Lloyd Clubs, with its heritage in racquet sports, has been offering padel in a number of its Spanish and Italian clubs for years, and is at the forefront of rolling out padel in the UK, ensuring as many members as possible have access to the facilities to embrace this exciting sport.
