ARE YOU A TRAIL‘BLAZE’-ING FITNESS INSTRUCTOR?

DAVID LLOYD LEISURE SEARCHES FOR 550 NEW FITNESS TRAINERS AS ITS CUTTING EDGE BLAZE CLASS IS ROLLED OUT NATIONWIDE

Leading health and fitness group David Lloyd Leisure is currently looking for over 550 talented and highly motivated fitness instructors ready to take centre stage and join its Blaze Tribe. Over the last year, David Lloyd Leisure has introduced a new boutique-style HIIT class called Blaze into 11 of its clubs in UK and Europe, and the unique class has proved to be so popular that the studio based, cutting edge concept is now being launched nationwide in a further 49 clubs giving more fitness fans the opportunity to make Blaze part of their fitness routine. What keeps members coming back time again is the individuality of each of our instructors and their ability to drive and motivate everyone to achieve their personal best within the session, leading to effective results.

Blaze is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) immersive experience that combines cardiovascular training together with strength and combat in a fast-paced workout. Woodway treadmills, a bespoke Blaze box and boxing bags act as stations and participants move between these stations; running, lifting weights and boxing. Participants strap a MyZONE heart rate monitor around their chests which links to a screen in the studio. Activity is classified into ‘blue’, ‘yellow’, ‘green’ and ‘red’ zones, with the red zone being where class members are working their hardest and encourages healthy competition between the class or simply beat their personal best. As the class moves around, the activities change, all the while working in time to different coloured lighting and dance music that plays over the class. Check it out here.

Talented and outgoing instructors are key to the Blaze experience and instrumental to keeping members motivated and engaged. They encourage participants to work harder, spend time in the red zone and challenge themselves while burning fat and building strength. Blaze is designed to cater for all ages and abilities and the instructors help people push themselves to their own strengths and abilities. Instructors within the Blaze tribe will find themselves working with state of the art tools and in a hi-tech studio coupled with playlists from leading world DJs.

Emma Bough, Recruitment Executive for David Lloyd Clubs said: “We are so excited about the launch of our new and exclusive product “Blaze” and the number of fantastic opportunities it brings. We are recruiting 550 Blaze instructors who are responsible for delivering an exceptional world class experience. They need to be full of personality and positivity but must crucially possess the ability to take centre stage, manage, educate, and motivate members in a large class of all different ages and abilities. Our pre-programmed classes are designed to optimise results, helping our members to improve and achieve their goals and importantly providing them with a unique exhilarating fitness experience ensuring they want to come back for more”.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Exercise to Music and or a Level 3 Reps for PTs qualifications and rates of pay are very competitive, reflecting the calibre of talent required to deliver these challenging classes. Those who have the ambition and motivation to take on one of these exciting roles and would love to join one of the Sunday Times’ Top 25 Big UK Companies rel="noopener noreferrer" to Work For should visit https://careers.davidlloyd.co.uk/
