DAVID LLOYD NORTHWOOD UNDERGOES £4 MILLION INVESTMENT
NEW luxury Spa Retreat with seven stunning feature rooms
NEW tranquil outdoor spa garden with firepit and outdoor meditation space
NEW outdoor adult and children’s pool, with sun terrace
NEW David Lloyd Kids zone with activity rooms and soft play
All work to be completed by August 2020
David Lloyd Northwood is to receive a new luxury indoor and outdoor spa, as well as an outdoor swimming pool as part of a significant £4m investment programme. With work now well underway, the facilities will firmly position the club as one of the country’s leading heath, spa, fitness and racquets clubs.
This ambitious, family-friendly project by Europe’s leading health, sports and leisure group will ensure members are provided with the best-quality fitness environment to achieve their health, fitness or leisure time goals.
SPA RETREAT
At the heart of the new investment is the luxurious super-spa; known as the Spa Retreat. The area will feature hydro pools; saunas including a Finnish and a salt sauna; crystal and citrus steam rooms; feature showers; a plunge pool; heated beds and deep relaxation rooms. Outside, the spa garden with tiki bar and meditation space is the spot for outdoor relaxation and come evening members will be able to enjoy stargazing from the outdoor hydro pool and relaxing by the fire pit.
OUTDOOR POOL
Opening early 2020 is a new outdoor pool, one of very few in the area and open to all members. It’s not just fitness enthusiasts who will enjoy the space, with a new sun terrace also developed, set to be the perfect place to spend a summer’s day.
FAMILY EXTRAS
A new David Lloyds Kids zone is now complete with three activity rooms, play frame, seating area and soft play. In the summer of 2020 we will be building new family changing rooms and at the same time our indoor pool will be refurbished. And to make bringing small children in even easier, the parent and child car parking spaces have been relocated to the front of the club.
David Lloyd Northwood’s General Manager, Ian Lancaster, said, “We’re really excited to announce so many great additions to the club here at Northwood. The work is due to complete in August 2020, and so the outdoor spa facilities, sun terrace and adult and children’s pools will be hugely popular this summer. The introduction of the spa retreat facilities will make our club a destination to relax, socialise and enjoy. This significant investment ensures that David Lloyd Clubs’ continue to offer its members the very best premium health club facilities in the area.”
