With most of the UK summer destinations already fully booked or charging vastly inflated rates for accommodation, Brits are scrambling to find spots to staycate. To help, David Lloyd Clubs, the UK’s leading health, fitness and spa, will for the first time be offering overnight stays with a luxury, all-inclusive, glamping retreat in one of its most scenic locations in Hampton, London.
Visitors can experience everything they’d look for from a resort; a luxurious spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, kids club, tennis, a 9-hole golf course, plus dining and cocktails - with overnight accommodation in a pop-up glamping site.
Taking place at David Lloyd Hampton from 9 to 15 August, Glamp @ David Lloyd Clubs will feature six luxury bell tents, each sleeping up to five for two-night stays. Not available to purchase, these breaks will be awarded to those most deserving through nominations from the public. A number of breaks have also been gifted to The Captain Tom Foundation, who will be rewarding those who have worked tirelessly fundraising to support others.
The VIP staycation will include all meals and unlimited house wine, beer and cocktails; a champagne welcome reception on the terrace; a welcome pack including marshmallows to be enjoyed around the fire pit; an exclusive gin tasting evening for adults and burger-making class for the kids, plus nightly live entertainment. VIP access to David Lloyd Hampton is also included, where glampers can work up a sweat in the state-of-the-art gym, recharge with a morning yoga class, make a splash in the outdoor and indoor pools, or while away an afternoon in the tranquil spa garden.
Steph Holland, head of lifestyle products at David Lloyd Clubs comments:
“Members think of us as a holiday home on their doorstep and, with so much confusion and disappointment around travel this year, the creation of a pop-up Glamp @ David Lloyd Clubs site is a natural extension of this holiday experience
“Guests can start their day with a morning workout or yoga session, laze by the pool with a book while the children play at the kids club, have a healthy lunch, followed by a pampering session in the spa and then a round of golf or tennis before dinner. It’s everything you’d look for in a five-star holiday, without the air miles, expense or need to quarantine on return.”
“As part of our commitment to community, health and wellness, it is important to us to extend this first-time experience to deserving people who have been seriously impacted by the events of the past 18 months. Whether they have been hard hit financially, or have gone above and beyond for their community, we want to reward those most deserving. This is why the stays will not be made available to purchase. Instead, they will be awarded based on nomination and through The Captain Tom Foundation. We’re urging people to head to our website and social channels to find out more and get nominating!”
Glamping will be open from 9 August to 15 August at the David Lloyd Hampton Location (Staines Road, Hampton, Middlesex, TW2 5JD). To nominate someone who you think deserves a break at the Glamp @ David Lloyd Clubs site, please visit https://www.davidlloyd.co.uk/glamp
