DAVID LLOYD CLUBS DONATE FOOD TO NHS AND VULNERABLE GROUPS

Perishables donated as Clubs close

With Clubs now closed across the UK, David Lloyd Clubs, the UK’s largest health, fitness and well-being group has donated all excess perishables to local NHS teams and vulnerable groups.

Teams have been working hard to safely deliver the fresh produce. A definitive list of who donated where is not currently available (updates are coming in constantly), but those we have photos of available to use include:

Bristol Long Ashton – donated to food bank and local homeless shelter
Chorley – donated to NHS trust. Team also cooked pizzas using their pizza oven for the staff at the local hospital
Bushey – delivered to Watford General Hospital (pictured – rows of milk in front of table)
Colchester – delivered to local foodbank
Bolton – delivered to local foodbank
Leeds – delivered to local foodbank
Cheshire Oaks – delivered to local foodbank
Manchester Old Trafford – delivered to local foodbank

If you’d like a comment, please attribute to Stephen Brown, Operations Director:

“Since closing the doors to our Clubs, our teams have worked hard ensuring any perishables left in our kitchens reach those who need them the most. We’ve all seen the images of bare supermarket shelves and we’re hoping our donations make things a little easier.”
