David Lloyd Acton Park Open it's doors following a £9 million transformation

David Lloyd Clubs, the UK’s leading health, fitness and racquets group, is delighted to announce it has reopened local premium health and racquets club as David Lloyd Acton Park on East Acton Lane today following a massive £9 million investment programme. Formerly known as The Park Club, members have eagerly awaited the unveiling of a range of world-class facilities, whilst the re-launched club retains its existing character. Set in 27 acres of beautiful grounds and just a few minutes from Chiswick High Road, David Lloyd Acton Park offers the residents of Acton and Chiswick the ultimate gym and club experience in West London. The club offers members everything they could want under one roof, including brand new innovative fitness classes and outstanding facilities for the whole family.

Families lie at the heart of the David Lloyd Club brand and the newly refurbished facilities include a wide range of family facilities and activities for children, including tennis and swimming coaching programmes, kids clubs and holiday camps, plus a crèche and indoor soft play area, so that families can socialise and spend time under one roof in a warm and friendly environment.

The club will offer the very latest innovation in group and family fitness – PRAMA. The PRAMA studio is a giant interactive space (floor and walls), with flashing lights and music. It's a high-tech interactive area that uses lighting and sound to create a really unique workout for families. When parents attend with their kids - aged five and upwards - the sequence of workouts changes to a slower paced combination of moves that sees kids doing hopscotch and families working in tandem to run and touch walls or targets on the floor.  Plus, there are adult only classes, too - so members can make the most of PRAMA in a way that suits them best.

The hi-tech gym will form the centrepiece to the new look club, now situated on the first floor and completely remodelled with open workout zones, and features a number of world leading fitness brands such as Octane, Watt Bike, Woodway  and Life Fitness.

The range of group exercise classes at Acton Park is second to none. The studios have been designed for specific styles of group exercise and will house over 150 classes each week, so there are plenty to try out. Holistic classes take place in the tranquil Mind & Body Studio, and high intensity training such as Les Mills’ Body Combat, in the High Impact Studio. The club also features a cutting-edge group cycling studio to experience consuming programmes such as Sufferfest.

Completing the studio lineup is the brand new Blaze studio. Exclusive to David Lloyd Clubs, Blaze offers a whole new way of working out.  Combining cardiovascular training along with strength, boxing and Martial Art skills, Blaze offers the ultimate full-body workout. Participants wear a heart-rate monitor throughout the class to track their progress and encourage healthy competition amongst class participants or simply beat their personal best. The info can be downloaded to on the MYZone app to track progress.

The club also features both and indoor and outdoor swimming pool, plus a luxurious wet spa where members can relax in the sauna, steam room and whirlpool, or stretch out on one of many soothing heated beds. A stylish outdoor spa garden is an idyllic space within the club for some precious ‘me-time’ amongst lush surroundings.

The Clubroom, an exclusive new restaurant and a first for the David Lloyd Clubs estate is the social hub of the club for members to relax, work, eat and drink in modern and laid-back surroundings, with a dedicated family zone, an adults-only lounge and a business area for those looking to relax or work whist the kids enjoy the supervised activities. A brand new kids area and soft play area is sure to keep the younger members of the family happy. A fantastic range of really tasty food for both adults and kids awaits, giving the choice of a healthy dish or a treat.

General Manger Shiv Patel exclaims “We are absolutely delighted to open the club to our members and reveal the result of a huge transformation to the club. We believe that our members will be blown away by the state of art equipment and superb facilities at the brand-new David Lloyd Acton Park, and cannot wait for families to begin experiencing first-hand what it has to offer this summer. There are so many new and exciting aspects to the club offering, I believe the members will be discovering something new for some time to come’
