As well as yoga classes, we offer Pilates mat classes. There are similarities between these two low-impact workouts, but one of the key differences is that Pilates is all about core strength, alignment and fitness, without the same holistic mind-body emphasis of yoga.
Our experienced yoga teachers will guide you through your practice, helping to adjust poses to suit your individual body and its needs. They are able to adapt the sequence for every ability, so beginners can easily mix with more experienced members in our classes.
As a holistic form of exercise, yoga helps you take care of both mind and body. There are many fitness benefits, such as improved strength, flexibility and posture, and research has also linked yoga to reduced stress.
A regular yoga practice can support you in other types of exercise and in your everyday movements, whatever time of life you decide to start.
We'll provide everything you need in our yoga classes, such as mats and props, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing, and it's a good idea to have a water bottle on hand if you're doing a dynamic yoga class. Grip gloves will give you extra non-slip security on the mat.
