Introducing SPIRIT
Part of our exclusive Signature Class range, SPIRIT is an energising session that combines elements of yoga and Pilates. We also have SPIRIT Sound Meditation classes designed to melt away stress and tension.
Work your core, get lost in the flow and find stillness. Whether you're interested in yoga for fitness or relaxation, our Stevenage studio offers a range of classes every week, including Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
Join David Lloyd Stevenage and you'll find that our yoga classes are just the beginning. After you've rolled up your mat, explore our first-rate gym, enjoy a few lengths in our heated indoor pool or make time for post-workout recovery with our spa facilities. You can get some work done over a delicious coffee in our Clubroom, and try a different type of exercise class. Find out which type of membership is right for you.
All of our classes are led by experienced yoga instructors who will patiently and expertly guide you through every bend and stretch. They are able to adapt postures and sequences to suit every level, so you'll feel comfortable no matter where you are in your yoga journey, including as a total beginner.
Yoga is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of ability.
Yoga is a holistic form of exercise, which means it helps you take care of both your mind and your body. As well as fitness benefits - improved strength, flexibility, balance and posture - research has also linked yoga to reduced stress and enhanced mood.
A regular yoga practice can support you in other types of exercise and in your daily life, whatever age you decide to start. However, the benefits of enhanced balance and improved strength are particularly important as you move through life.
In addition to our yoga classes, we offer Pilates mat classes. There are similarities between these two low-impact workouts, but one of the key differences is that Pilates tends to involve small precise movement, while yoga is often more about holding postures. Pilates focuses on strengthening the core to benefit the whole body, but there's usually some flexibility work, too.
We'll provide everything you need in our yoga classes, such as mats and props, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing, and it's a good idea to have a water bottle on hand if you're doing a dynamic yoga class.
Booking is easy with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simply navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
