Transforming the Club

We're investing an incredible £10.5 million to transform David Lloyd Reading into one of the finest health, wellbeing and fitness clubs. The Club will be the perfect place to escape the outside world; a haven where you can recharge and reset. Or you can simply enjoy time well spent with friends and family in stylish and comfortable surroundings. Expect a brand new Spa Retreat, Spa Garden, studios, Business Hub and pools alongside a refreshed gym and Clubroom.

Brand-new Spa Retreat and refreshed Spa Garden

Our luxurious new indoor spa, the Spa Retreat, will be a sanctuary of calm where you can switch off, unwind or recover after your workout. Relax and rejuvenate as you indulge in the Crystal steam room, Himalayan salt sauna or ice cave. Helpfully located next to the swimming pool so you can move effortlessly from workout to whirlpool.

Outside, you'll discover the enchanting Spa Garden where you can lie on a comfortable lounger, bask in the warmth of the fire pit, or immerse yourself in the hydro pool. It's the ideal place to rest aching muscles and calm the mind, all while enjoying the benefits of being in nature.

Brand-new studios

New studios will bring even more variety to your routine. You’ll be able to enjoy Reformer Pilates, as well as the David Lloyd Clubs Signature class collection, including the energy of BLAZE and immersive group cycling with RHYTHM and CYCLONE.

Business Hub and Clubroom

Our elegant new Business Hub is designed to encourage productivity and innovation - complete with contemporary workstations, charging points and fast, free Wi-Fi. And when you need a break, you're moments away from a relaxing swim, a stress-busting class, an energising gym session or a healthy bite to eat.

There’ll also be a sleek new Clubroom, as well as a family lounge with a playframe for the little ones.

You deserve the best for your workouts, that's why we're transforming your gym, with a new design and upgraded kit. So you can squeeze every last drop out of each and every session.

Brand-new kids' pools

Membership options

Depending on the membership type you choose, you’ll have use of the gym, swimming pool, spa, racquets courts, exercise classes and Clubroom. Plus, to help you get the most from your membership, we also offer supplementary services such as the onsite crèche, kids swimming and tennis coaching and personal training, available at an additional cost.

Racquet courts and coaching

With twelve indoor and seven outdoor tennis courts, plus badminton, Padel and Pickleball facilities, David Lloyd Reading is a first-rate racquets venue. Our expert coaches offer introductory, beginner and refresher courses for players of all abilities.
