Benefits of yoga

As a holistic form of exercise, yoga helps you take care of both your mind and your body. As well as fitness benefits - improved strength, flexibility and posture - research has also linked yoga to reduced stress and enhanced mood.

Yoga for over-50s

A regular yoga practice can support you both in other types of exercise and in your daily life, whatever age you decide to start.

Mat Pilates in Harrogate

As well as yoga, you can enjoy Pilates mat classes. There are similarities between these two low-impact workouts. Pilates focuses on strengthening the core to benefit the whole body, but there's usually some flexibility work, too.

What to bring to a yoga class at David Lloyd Harrogate & how to book

We'll provide everything you need in our yoga classes, such as mats and props, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing, and it's a good idea to have a water bottle on hand if you're doing a dynamic yoga class. Think you might appreciate some extra grip? You can also bring your own non-slip grip socks and/or gloves.

Booking is stress-free with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simply navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
