Combine yoga & Pilates
In addition to our yoga and Pilates classes, we're also delighted to bring you SPIRIT. This is a boutique-style class, designed exclusively for David Lloyd Clubs, that combines elements of yoga and Pilates. Set to music, this session will uplift and inspire you.
Become a member at David Lloyd Chigwell and you'll get more than a yoga studio. Depending on the type of membership you choose, you'll also have a range of health club facilities to use as you wish: an indoor swimming pool, spa facilities, a place to work and socialise, a gym. You'll also enjoy a full timetable of other styles of exercise class to really mix up your workouts. Find out which type of membership will suit you best.
One of the types of yoga we offer is Hatha. These classes aim to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation. Our Hatha sessions are designed to build mental and physical resilience, and maintain overall wellness.
Yin yoga is a slower-placed class with a meditative feel. You'll mainly work with floor poses while seated or reclined.
Our yoga classes are open to members of all abilities and levels of experience, including total beginners, as our friendly teachers can adapt movements and poses.

We also offer mat Pilates at David Lloyd Chigwell. There are similarities between yoga and Pilates, but one of the key differences is that unlike most styles of yoga, in Pilates you sometimes use resistance equipment as well as bodyweight.
Pilates focuses on strengthening the core, although it does include some flexibility work.
For any days when you can't make it to the club in person, you'll find a wide variety of yoga and Pilates classes on the David Lloyd Clubs app. Enjoy these sessions at home, on holiday - wherever you are, you never have to miss your yoga or Pilates fix. There are many other kinds of workout on there too, plus meditations for relaxation.
