SPIRIT is the ideal yoga-Pilates hybrid for anyone looking for a satisfying workout with elements of meditation.
Work your core, get lost in the flow and find stillness. Whether you're interested in yoga for fitness or relaxation, our Bolton studio offers a range of classes, including Vinyasa and Yin yoga sessions. We have multiple yoga classes each week, including morning, lunchtime and evening sessions, and it's easy for members to book with the David Lloyd Clubs app.
Yoga classes are just one way you can take care of your wellbeing as a member at David Lloyd Bolton. After you've rolled up your mat, enjoy a few lengths in our heated indoor and outdoor pools or simply make time for more relaxation in our spa. You can get some work done over a delicious coffee in our Clubroom, explore our first-rate gym or try a different style of exercise class. Find out which type of membership will suit you best.
Flow between a series of postures in this energising yoga class, which focuses on combining breathwork with seamless movement.
A slower-paced session, you’ll hold postures for longer periods of time in Yin than other yoga classes. With a greater focus on meditation and reflection, you’ll leave feeling relaxed and revitalised.
In addition to our yoga classes, we offer Pilates mat classes. There are similarities between these two low-impact workouts, but one of the key differences is that Pilates involves more movement, while yoga tends to be more about holding postures. Pilates focuses on strengthening the core to benefit the whole body, but there's usually some flexibility work, too.
Yoga is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of ability.
All of our classes are led by experienced yoga instructors who will patiently and expertly guide you through every bend and stretch. They are able to adapt postures and sequences to suit every level, so you'll feel comfortable no matter where you are in your yoga journey, including as a total beginner.
Yoga is a holistic form of exercise, which means it helps you take care of both your mind and your body. As well as fitness benefits - improved strength, flexibility, balance and posture - research has also linked yoga to reduced stress and enhanced mood.
Starting a regular yoga practice can support you in other types of exercise and in your daily life, whatever age you decide to start.
We'll provide everything you need in our yoga classes, such as mats and props, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing, and it's a good idea to have a water bottle on hand if you're doing a dynamic yoga class.
Booking is easy with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simply navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
