This form of yoga is known for its use of props - including belts, blocks, and blankets - as aids in performing postures and characterised by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. We recommend this class for members that are experienced in yoga practice.
Vinyasa Yoga classes link physical postures with the breath, incorporating sun salutations and standing and balancing postures. Movement is linked with inhalations and exhalations to form a smooth and rhythmic sequence.
Ashtanga is a fast-paced, intense style of yoga that follows a set series of poses, always in the same order. Physically demanding due to the constant movement from one pose to the next, expect to build up a sweat.
Hatha Yoga aims to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation. Hatha is the traditional Indian name used to describe a set of practices that are intended to prevent physical problems, heal existing ones and maintain overall health and wellbeing.
Yoga is gentle in nature and for that reason is open to anyone. Whether you are a beginner or master anyone can attend. We also take pregnant women in our classes as it is a great way to de-stress, although we advise you ask your doctor first.
