Yoga includes physical postures or ‘asanas’, breathing techniques and meditation. Our classes will help to bring you calm, clarity and an overall sense of inner well-being.
Physically challenging as well as relaxing and meditative, these classes coordinate movement with breath, allowing students to flow seamlessly from one pose to the next.
Hatha is a slower-paced and gentle form of yoga that provides a good introduction to the basic yoga poses. It works to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation.
Iyengar Yoga is concerned with bodily alignment - the precise way in which your body should be positioned in each pose in order to obtain the maximum benefits and avoid injury. Poses are typically held for longer periods versus moving quickly from one pose to the next.
Ashtanga is a fast-paced, intense style of yoga. A set series of poses is performed, always in the same order. Physically demanding due to the constant movement from one pose to the next, expect to build up a sweat.
Yoga is gentle in nature and for that reason is open to anyone. Whether you are a beginner or master anyone can attend. We also take pregnant women in our classes as it is a great way to de-stress, although we advise you ask your doctor first.
