Improve your fitness, strengthen your core and enjoy the flow: a regular yoga practice can really enhance your everyday life. Our studio at David Lloyd Finchley offers classes that are suitable for everyone from beginners to those with plenty of yoga experience, including Hatha sessions. And it's so easy for members to book a class - you just use the David Lloyd Clubs app.
Yoga classes at David Lloyd Finchley are just the beginning. After you've finished your flow, explore our first-rate gym, enjoy a few lengths in our heated indoor and outdoor pools, or simply make time for more relaxation with our spa facilities. You can get work done over a delicious coffee in our Clubroom, and try a different type of exercise class.
Hatha is a yoga practice that aims to bring balance to mind and body. It's designed to help you maintain overall health and well-being as you match breathing to postures.
As well as yoga classes, we offer Pilates mat classes. There are similarities between these two low-impact workouts, but one of the key differences is that Pilates is all about core strength, alignment and fitness, without the same holistic mind-body emphasis of yoga.
You can also enjoy Reformer Pilates sessions, which give you a supercharged muscle-lengthening and toning workout.
Our experienced yoga teachers will guide you through your practice, adjusting poses to suit your individual body and its needs. They are able to adapt the sequence for every ability, so beginners can easily mix with more experienced members in our classes.
Yoga is a holistic form of exercise, which means it helps you take care of both mind and body. There are many fitness benefits, such as improved strength, flexibility and posture, and research has also linked yoga to reduced stress.
Whatever time of life you decide to start, regular yoga practice can help you enjoy other types of exercise and support you in your everyday movements.
We'll provide everything you need in our yoga classes, such as mats and props, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing, and it's a good idea to have a water bottle on hand if you're doing a dynamic yoga class. Grip gloves will give you extra non-slip security on the mat.
Booking is a breeze with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simple navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
