Introducing SPIRIT
Designed exclusively for David Lloyd Clubs, SPIRIT sessions combine yoga, Pilates and meditation, for a workout that's inspiring and rejuvenating.
We make it easy to enjoy yoga in our Enfield studio, whether you're looking to work your core, improve flexibility or simply get lost in the flow. There's a range of classes every week, including Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin yoga. We offer multiple sessions each week, including morning, lunchtime and evening sessions.
Become a member at David Lloyd Enfield and you'll find our yoga classes are just the beginning. After you've rolled up your mat, you can build your perfect wellness experience with every visit. Maybe that means exploring our first-rate gym, enjoying a few lengths in our heated indoor and outdoor pools or simply making time for relaxation in our spa. You can get some work done over a delicious coffee in our Clubroom, and try a different type of exercise class. Find out which type of membership is right for you.
A slower-paced session, you’ll hold postures for longer periods of time in Yin than other yoga classes. With a greater focus on meditation and reflection, you’ll leave feeling relaxed and revitalised.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by linking postures together. You move from one to another, seamlessly, synching up with your breathing. Sometimes referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’, Vinyasa classes give you variety of movement as well as the chance to focus on the present moment and calm your mind.
Yoga is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of ability.
Our experienced yoga instructors will patiently and expertly guide you through your practice, providing advice and correction when necessary. They can adapt the sequences for every ability, so beginners can mix with more experienced yogis.
As a holistic form of exercise, yoga helps you take care of both mind and body. Classes include physical postures, or ‘asanas’, breathing techniques and, sometimes, meditation. From a regular yoga practice, you can enjoy fitness benefits such as improved strength and flexibility. Research has also linked yoga to reduced stress and enhanced mood.
The benefits of yoga are even more important as you move through life. A regular yoga practice can support you in your everyday activities - expect improved posture, balance and flexibility after you start attending classes.
Wear comfortable clothing for our yoga classes, and bring a water bottle if you're doing a more dynamic session. A pair of grip gloves and/or socks can help you feel extra-secure. We have everything else you need, such as yoga mats and props, but feel free to use your own mat if you prefer.
Booking is easy with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simply navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
