Fitness class brings 'A new hope' to gym goers
Star Wars inspired workout to launch at David Lloyd Clubs on May The Fourth (be with you)
It’s not every day that an exercise class takes you to a galaxy far, far away but the new ‘Jedi Workout’ launched by David Lloyd Clubs promises to do just that.
Forget yoga, this workout is more about Yoda. Switching personal trainers for Jedis and light weights for light sabers, participants are also given the option to wear a Jedi outfit whilst they train.
David Lloyd Clubs personal trainers have been through their own Jedi training, so that they’re ready to deliver a set of exercises including Jedi swipes and Jedi leaps, set to prepare participants to Defeat the Sith Lord.
Michelle Dand, Group Fitness Manager at David Lloyd Clubs said, ‘We know that a lot of our members - young and old – are huge fans of Star Wars and what better day for them to take part in a Star Wars themed workout than on May 4th, Star Wars Day? Whether you’re a die-hard fan or not, the workout promises to get the heart racing and will have everyone ready to rival Luke Skywalker with their light saber skills. May the fourth be with you at your local David Lloyd Club.’
Launching on Star Wars Day, May 4th 2017 the Jedi Workout will be timetabled at David Lloyd Clubs in Bromsgrove, Colchester, Manchester and York.
