David Lloyd Raynes Park has reaffirmed its position as the area’s leading health, spa, fitness and racquets club, as it throws open its doors following a £8m investment programme. With the work complete, the club now offers unrivalled facilities to support members with their wellness needs, whether that’s fitness, relaxation or socialising with friends and family.
SPA RETREAT
The centre piece of the redevelopment is the luxurious super-spa; known as the Spa Retreat. Set within a newly built wing of the club, it’s a world away from anywhere, with extensive state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities. Heat, cool and relax are the three guiding principles of the expertly designed ‘spa journey’, scientifically designed to boost overall wellness and help relax, unwind and escape.
New equipment & studios
Along with the investment in the relaxation facilities, there will also be significant upgrade to the gym. Fitness enthusiasts can up their performance with all new equipment in the massive state-of-the-art gym which includes the very latest cardio and strength and conditioning kit, while the free weights area has been boosted by the arrival of more brand-new equipment.
As part of the investment David Lloyd Raynes Park now offers an exclusive group exercise personal training program. Delta offers members the chance to work in small groups of like-minded people, prepare to be inspired and motivated by an expert Delta coach fast tracking individuals to peak fitness on a 6-week course. Set on the bright airy revamped gym floor, Delta thrives to push members to their peak fitness.
Four brand new studios, including a high impact studio, a specialist Pilates studio and a group cycling hub are an exciting addition to the Club as part of the investment, where members can experience an immersive Rhythm and Cyclone class. There is great news for BLAZE fans, as a new 30 station BLAZE Studio has been built. BLAZE is a signature high-intensity interval training class, combining cardio, strength, and combat. All the fitness studios are attached to a stylish waiting room, so members can meet friends and get in the mood prior to a class.
Clubroom
The central hub of the club, the Clubroom, has also undergone a stylish refurbishment, there is a new kids playframe, bar area, seating and an outdoor terrace – the perfect place to meet friends and relax and unwind after a workout when the sun is shining.
David Lloyd Raynes Park’s General Manager, Matt Gray said: “Work is finally completed, and members will be thrilled with the changes to the club – we are introducing something new to excite everyone, from morning swimmers, workers who want a flexible daytime cycle class, to high-tech fitness enthusiasts. We are really looking forward to summer with the outdoor pool and spa being the perfect destination for local residents to spend their leisure time. This significant investment ensures that David Lloyd Clubs continue to offer its members the best premium health club facilities in the area.”
