David Lloyd Purley on Hannibal Way is to receive a significant £2.5m investment programme to firmly position the club as one of the country’s leading health, spa, fitness and racquets clubs. The club will offer unrivalled facilities to help members achieve their health and fitness goals, as well as socialise and with friends and family. The plans include a brand new luxury indoor and outdoor spa, the latest boutique-style fitness class; Blaze and upgraded tennis facilities.

Since the club was acquired in 2017, investment has totalled over £5m on modernising and upgrading its facilities.

Set within the club, but a world away from anywhere, the 430mluxury spa is set to be a key destination at the club for members to melt away stress. The area will feature hydro pools, saunas including a warm Finnish and a salt sauna, crystal and citrus steam rooms, feature showers, a plunge pool, ice station, relaxation beds and hanging pods. Members will be able to enjoy stargazing from the outdoor hydro pool or by the fire pit, and enjoy the outdoor sauna, whatever the season. Those seeking sanctuary in the luxury spa can explore the variety of areas to unwind for a post-workout reboot or a whole day of blissful relaxation.

Together with the investment in the relaxation facilities, comes improvements to the more active areas of the club; the tennis courts. The tennis facilities are receiving much anticipated premium LED lighting on the indoor tennis courts to ensure members are match ready for when tennis fever hits this spring.

Fitness enthusiasts will be thrilled to add the latest big thing in fitness to their routine. Blaze has taken the nation by storm, and now David Lloyd Clubs’ unique HIIT class is launching in Purley.
