Viyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by linking postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are the same.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga aims to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation. A good class for beginners.

Iyengar Yoga

This form of yoga is known for its use of props - including belts, blocks, and blankets - as aids in performing postures and characterised by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. We recommend this class for more experienced yogis.

Yoga classes for all ages and ability

Whether you are a beginner or master anyone can attend yoga classes at Sunderland. Classes are open to anyone: old or young, injured, fit or unfit, supple or inflexible, male or female.
