Yoga at our Poole studio concentrates on bringing balance and harmony to both body and mind, through postures and breathing. They can help to boost the immune system, encourage relaxation and correct posture alignment.

Virtual Yoga

Led by an on-screen instructor, these sessions include physical postures or ‘asanas’, breathing techniques and meditation. They will help to increase flexibility and mobility, as well as tone and strengthen the body.

Virtual Yoga for Beginners

This class is a video lead by an on screen instructor. This beginners class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Gradually these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence. If you have never tried yoga this is the class for you, designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by linking postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are the same.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga aims to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga is a fast-paced, intense style of yoga. A set series of poses is performed, always in the same order. Physically demanding due to the constant movement from one pose to the next. A yoga class with eight components: morality, ethics, posture, breath control, sense control, concentration, meditation and absorption.

Iyengar Yoga

This form of yoga is known for its use of props - including belts, blocks, and blankets - as aids in performing postures and characterised by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. We recommend this class for members that are experienced in yoga practice.

Broga® is slightly more challenging as it simultaneously incorporates traditional yoga to significantly open up tight areas like shoulders, hips and hamstrings. Expect a high energy upper or lower body session that will strengthen and tone your body in new ways, but also leave you feeling more mobile and flexible than ever before.

Virtual Broga®

Led by an on-screen instructor, this class is similar to a regular Broga® class. Expect a high energy upper, lower or whole body session that will improve flexibility as well as strength.

Virtual Flow Yoga

Led by an on-screen instructor, Flow Yoga focuses on core stability and increasing flexibility throughout our bodies. Core strength will help you align your body, build up protection for your lower back and help you move more efficiently. This class builds strength and balance physically and mentally and finishes with a focus on the breath and relaxation to gather the benefits of the physical work.

Led by an on-screen instructor, Yoga Calm aims to restore peace, calm and clarity in the body and mind. This gentle class will guide you through body 'opening' poses, loosening tension and relieving stress. Moving at a slower pace and holding stretches longer will allow you to relax your mind and your body.

Yoga is gentle in nature and for that reason is open to anyone. Whether you are a beginner or master anyone can attend. We also take pregnant women in our classes as it is a great way to de-stress, although we advise you ask your doctor first.
