Improve your flexibility, build strength and relax with yoga at Nottingham West Bridgford. These sessions concentrate on bringing balance and harmony to both body and mind through postures and breathing.
Introduction to yoga
This beginners class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Gradually these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence. If you have never tried yoga this is the class for you, designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by linking postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are the same.
A yoga class with eight components: morality, ethics, posture, breath control, sense control, concentration, meditation and absorption. An intense yoga workout.
This form of yoga is known for its use of props - including belts, blocks, and blankets - as aids in performing postures and characterised by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. We recommend this class for members that are experienced in yoga practice.
Flow Yoga focuses on core stability and increasing flexibility throughout our bodies. This class builds strength and balance physically and mentally and finishes with a focus on the breath and relaxation to gather the benefits of the physical work.
Broga® incorporates traditional yoga to significantly open up tight areas like shoulders, hips and hamstrings. Expect a high energy upper or lower body session that will strengthen and tone your body in new ways, but also leave you feeling more mobile and flexible than ever before.
