ORANGETHEORY® at Aldgate Studio

Not sure what Orangetheory® is? Put simply, it’s a high intensity group exercise class where you wear a heart rate monitor to make sure you’re working at the best level to burn fat and kick start your metabolism. There are up to 24 people in each session and you’ll be led by one of our fantastic Personal Trainers.

What are the classes like?

Each class lasts either 45 or 60 minutes and before you begin you’ll be given a heart rate monitor to wear. The monitor means that our trainers will be able to see which ‘zone’ you’re working in. The ideal is the ‘Orange’ zone – whilst your heart rate is in this zone you’ll be working at the best level to burn fat and see results. If you’re new to the sessions then don’t be worried, as everyone’s ‘Orange’ zone is different. You’ll only ever be working at a level that suits you. If you come along regularly, you’ll soon see just how quickly your fitness levels increase – plus, visible toning is a huge benefit too.

Is it for me?

All our classes have fun, upbeat music in the background to help get you in the zone. And, we’re really proud to have some of the best trainers in the area. Each session will include a mixture of cardio and resistance exercises that will really help improve your fitness. Our members say that even though it’s a real challenge, the thought of burning up to 1000 calories in just one hour, keeps them going. And, you’ll get to see just how many calories you’ve burnt at the end of each class thanks to our TV screens in the studio. It doesn’t stop there though, the mixture of training included means you’ll keep burning calories for up to 36 hours after your workout. We like to call that the ‘Orange Effect’.

What else do I need to know?

Here at our Aldgate Studio the whole space is dedicated to our Orangetheory sessions. We’re in a great location right in the centre of London – and, the entrance is just off of Mansell Street. We’re only a couple of minutes walk from a few different tube stations: Aldgate, Aldgate East, Tower Hill and Tower Gateway. Plus, if you commute from out of London, Liverpool Street and Moorgate are only a 10 minute walk away. Whether you live or work nearby, we have plenty of sessions running at really convenient times – early morning, lunchtime and evening classes. Our 45 minute classes, which we run mainly during lunchtime hours, are super popular with people who work nearby.

No need to be a member…

You don't need to be a member of a David Lloyd Club to experience the benefits of Orangetheory though, as we have memberships and Pay-As-You-Go options too.
