Development Coach Award
This qualification is aimed at coaches who will work with groups and individuals of beginner and improver standard
Club Coach Award
Upon completion of the Coach Award, coaches can train to become a Club Coach through 6 days continuous professional development (CPD). Coaches achieving this qualification can run a coaching programme within a club across all ability levels. The Development Coach Award (DCA) has now been replaced by the Club Coach Award.

Senior Performance Coach
The Senior Performance coach course is a thorough and high level coaching course consisting of 400 learning hours. Seven 3-day modules of course information at either Chiswick (London) or Nottingham alternate with two 8-week mentored experience blocks in one of the LTA High Performance centres and 2 competition experiences. Master Performance Coach
This is for coaches who work at the very highest level of performance coaching. The Master Performance Coach Qualification is not aimed at one particular age group of players. Instead, coaches coach high level players of all ages to a high standard.
Coach Award
This coaching qualification takes 12 days (plus an assessment day). It covers the key coaching skills required to be an effective coach; as well as the tactical, technical, physical and mental information a coach needs to work with beginners and improvers.
Senior Club Coach
This qualification is aimed at coaches who will be either managing a section of a Club, or running a small team of coaches. There will be an increasing emphasis on the management side of running a business which will complement the advanced on court coaching skills that are also required in these coaching environments

After an early career playing professional tennis, I turned my focus to coaching and completed an apprenticeship at Ross-on Wye Tennis Centre. During the mid nineties I worked as a Senior Racquets Professional at the Esporta Lancashire Club. My next move was to The Esporta Glamorgan Club near Swansea, where I was Head of Tennis Development and Performance, then promoted to Tennis Manager at the Esporta Gloucestershire.Member Testimonial
When joining the David Lloyd Swindon Club, I decided to take up a racquets membership! I first met Craig at an Adult Tennis Welcome where he helped me to feel at ease and to quickly become involved in the adult social and coaching programme.
I completed a Fast Track course which provided me with valuable technical and tactical advice, plus it gave me the opportunity to meet other members. I have now moved up the rathe Improvers
