With Christmas lights being turned on all over the country this week it may become stressful deciding what you're going to wear to events over the festive period. I think we all want to feel confident, look great and ultimately have a fantastic time. I believe that this can be achieved by introducing the classic class Body Pump into your routine and here is why:
- Fun Factor! If a class is fun why wouldn't you return? It seems so simple but when you find something fun it's easy to want to find that extra energy and time during your day to take part.
- Resistance-based - Body Pump is a class based upon lifting weights in a safe and effective manner that is targeted at a level to suit all levels. Using resistance/weights you will build muscles to tone your body all over and have the added benefit of higher calorie burning after the activity. With Body Pump you can continue burning calories for up to 72 hours post-workout!
- Movement - The class is stationary in effect; you won't be moving like you would in a Body Step or Body Attack class. Therefore, it can be easier on the knees but you will move more than you would if you were at home watching TV - this means that you will burn calories and lose weight.
- Novelty - By adding the class to your routine NOW you will change the stimulus to your body, causing it to adapt by losing weight and building muscle in time for Christmas to increase your confidence. As with all Les Mills products, the routine is varied every three months, changing the stimulus to your body and constantly asking it to adapt so the results keep coming.
- Meet new people - With all classes at David Lloyd Leisure, there is a huge sense of community, turn up 5-10 minutes early to your first class and introduce yourself to the teacher. They will welcome you into the class; in time you will be introduced to more and more people who share your passion and if you agree to meet someone at your class each week you are more likely to return.
Contact your local David Lloyd Leisure club or look up their timetable online to book your place and start your journey to a fitter, more confident you.
