Matt Yates has been involved in circus performance and training for the past twenty years.

He has been based in Western Australia since 1990 and has been instrumental in the development of the WA circus movement.

Matt was trained by both Chinese and Russian teachers, was Director of Education and Training at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, and has performed around the world with companies such as Circus Oz, Acrobat and his own Lunar Circus.

He has taught numerous young people the art of circus, some of whom have gone on to professional training and performance.

Matt currently performs and teaches around the globe, and is the Director of the Western Australian Circus Festival at the Lunar Circus site in Karridale, Margaret River, WA.

The Fatt Matt Show

Fatt Matt has created this astonishing forty-minute show with a combination of skills developed over many years.

Ball juggling combined with playing the ukelele standing on his head; bizarre magic with some equally peculiar body contortion; and a heart-stopping hand-balancing routine atop a precarious stack of sixteen glasses all enthral the audience.

Set up and run by Emilio Sanchez-Vicario and Sergio Casal (who between them hold five Grand Slam titles) the Academy – based in Barcelona – has produced many players over the years, most notably Andy Murray and Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Young aspiring players go there to be taught by the world’s best tennis coaches.

Down the Line Sports is bringing the Sanchez-Casal Academy to the UK for the third year running, and the first of the five-day series will take place at David Lloyd York, where there will be one Junior Performance session (for ages 8-18) and one Adult Club Player session.

From the revised date of 21st May, everyone parking in the Parent & Toddler parking bays is required to display a permit to park. These permits are issued by the Membership team.

When you park in these bays you are required to display the permit in your vehicle's windscreen at all times. Passes are valid for children aged three and under who must be with you whilst you are parked.

This permit scheme will apply to the Parent & Toddler bays from Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm. More information will be communicated throughout the Club.

Any vehicle parked in a Parent & Toddler bay without displaying a permit is risking a parking fine.
