Fantastic results from our Running Club at the London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April.

We had eleven runners completing the twenty-six miles, with some brilliant times. The best time goes to our very own coach Celia, who ran the course in 3.27 hours, followed closely by:

Jackie Maclannan – 3.28 hours

Moirs Craft – 3.31 hours

This was a massive achievement for all the team, so a big well done!

On the 16th/17th May, the team at Bushey will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the NSPCC and Childline.

The challenge starts at sea level in Fort William, Scotland, and consists of ascending and descending the three highest mountains in Great Britain in twenty-four hours.

This is a:

- total ascent and descent of 23,849ft

- 44km walking distance

- 500 miles on the road

- all in twenty-four hours – non-stop!

Any donations can be made via Club Reception, and 100% of all donations will go to our two nominated charities. The team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to Watford Jaguar – our main sponsors for the event.

Congratulations to our Junior team, who have won all but one of their recent matches – and that one was a tie!

The U8s, U10s, U12s and U14 teams are all doing well in the Aegon summer league, which is great to see.

As another half-term approaches we will be running our DL Kids' Holiday Active.

There will be lots of fun and exciting activities, for children between the ages of 8 and 11.

Please book early, as it is extremely popular and places do go quickly. You can come along for four hours or for the whole day!

It is also open to non-Members, so bring along your friends and they will be able to experience a day in the life of a David Lloyd Bushey kid.
