On Sunday 15th April David Lloyd Leeds allocated forty-nine pairs of Wimbledon 2012 tickets to Members.

The ballot followed an American Doubles tournament.

Come and take part in our Pro-Am Tournament on Thursday 24th May, from 7-9.30pm. This competitive doubles event is for Intermediate and Advanced club-level players.

The Pro-Am Tournament provides you with the opportunity to play with and against some of the Club Professionals.

Event details:

7pm - registration and warm-up

7.30pm - matches begin

9.30pm - matches end

9.30pm - Pro's match followed by drinks and nibbles

ToddlerCalm is a unique concept which aims to empower parents to raise their toddler with confidence, as toddlers can be challenging.

Throughout the classes you will understand your toddler's frustrations, learn to avoid tantrums, and discover how to aid restful sleep.

The course will help turn tantrumming toddlers and stressed parents into calmer toddlers, and happier parents!

The course runs for two hours per week for four weeks, from 9.30–11.30am. Mums and Dads are welcome on the course, as are toddlers. Additionally, the Crèche will be open during the course to accommodate childcare.

The course covers a number of topics, including tantrums, picky eating, sleep problems and clingy behaviour. ToddlerCalm aims to help parents understand their toddler, and to use this knowledge to help their toddler be calm and contented.

The first course takes place from 9.30am on 14th June. The cost is £65 and includes a free ToddlerCalm CD. You will also receive key pieces of supporting literature along the way, so you can refer to techniques back at home.

There is a real buzz about the All Stars Tennis programme, which started week commencing 16th April. We still have a few places available if you wish your child to join.

Team Tennis has started with some great wins for our under-14 girls' team. The Fitness Into Teens tennis programme starts week commencing 30th April. Box Leagues for our over-10s will soon be up, and the new tennis noticeboard has been ordered, to be situated in the corridor behind Indoor Court Six.

We will soon be re-opening our poolside bar, serving you with nice cold drinks and some great food whilst you lie back and enjoy the summer sun.

Our BBQ will be available on the weekends, just so long as it's not raining!

Look out for all the great sporting events throughout May, which will be advertised in our Clubroom. Make sure you make an evening of it and bring your friends.

They scooped this award last year and feel confident to do the same in 2012, proving they are no amateurs in children's education.

All courses are £30 for Members and £37.50 for non-Members for the full six weeks.
