With effect from 13th February we are refreshing our Racquets Booking Policy.
This is in response to a high volume of Member feedback, and to ensure a consistent approach to managing our court bookings in the future. Please take the time to read the policy in full.
Only Adult Racquets Members are able to book tennis, badminton and squash courts and coaching in advance.
Adult advance bookings can be made eight days in advance, from 8am, Monday to Sunday.
David Lloyd Belfast only permit bookings to be made by Adult Racquets Members. Court bookings for Child and Junior Members over the age of eight must be made by the Adult Racquets Member, and booked in the Adult Racquets Member's name. Adult Racquets Members can only make bookings for children linked to their Membership.
If Members have not arrived for a pre-booked court by ten minutes after the start time, the court will be released for use by other Members.
If a booking needs to be cancelled, forty-eight hours' notice should be given. If a court is not cancelled (no show) or cancelled with less than forty-eight hours' notice, Members will lose their advance booking rights for a period of one month.
In some Clubs, non-Racquets Members can book squash and badminton courts. This is not the case in David Lloyd Belfast.
Non-Racquets Members can book a court on the day for a fee of £10 per player, but have no advance booking rights.
Booking rights follow Peak and Off-peak Membership access rights.
Individual coaching sessions can be booked directly with the Tennis Professionals. Tennis Professionals can book a court on behalf of a Member following all the stated booking policies.* The Member's Membership number and name must be stated.
* Tennis Professionals can book courts on behalf of Adult Racquets Members at 8am, with one booking per call being permitted, for a duration no longer than one hour. Bookings can be made with no restriction after 9am.
Fast Track Tennis can be booked three months in advance. Non-Racquets Members can book onto the course for a fee.
Both Adult and Junior courses can be booked three months in advance and must be paid for in full at Reception in advance of the course starting.
Weekly Tennis Clinics can be booked eight days in advance from 8am Monday to Sunday, and must be paid for in full in advance of the Clinic starting.
Members may need to pay an extra fee to play tennis at some Clubs and at certain times of the day.
If you are unable to make a court booking at your preferred time your details can be added to a waiting list. Members on the waiting list will be contacted in strict order. If Members are unavailable no message will be left. The next Member will be contacted and the first to make contact will receive the place.
David Lloyd Belfast reserve the right to pre-book courts for coaching, events, the tennis programme and maintenance.
Tennis and Badminton bookings may be limited to one hour for singles and one and a half hours for doubles per day. Peak time courts are restricted to a maximum booking time of one and a half hours at David Lloyd Belfast. Peak times will be displayed on the Tennis noticeboard.
Squash courts can be booked in forty-minute time slots.
