A great way to get fit

Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise you can give yourself. With water’s natural, gentle ‘resistance’, it provides the perfect low-impact workout. Benefits include increased muscle tone, improved flexibility and heart health, weight loss and reduced stress levels.

Inspirational Members - Swim fit team

The David Lloyd Finchley swim team meet up twice a week, alongside their coach Leigh. The sessions are a haven of tranquillity for some, and an escape from everyday stresses for others. This close-knit group, whose paths wouldn’t have crossed had it not been for the swim team, often compete together, and enjoy socialising as friends. Swimming is a key life skill and it’s never too late to learn. Perhaps you’d like to develop your swimming technique or simply improve your confidence in the water? Whatever your goal, our ASA-endorsed swim coaches are fully qualified to help you achieve it.

Swim sessions for 11-17s

Swimming is a great way to tone up, get water confident and improve existing skills. Our 45 minute lessons give 11-17 year olds all the skills they need to swim like a fish, build endurance and get ASA-approved qualifications (levels 8-10). But distance is only part of it. As well as water sports, there’s synchronised swimming, survival, diving and more, all as part of the lessons.
